Fallujah operation begins next week

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, Anbar Operations Command announced, that the cleansing battle of Fallujah from the so-called ISIS will be carried out next week, while indicated to the participation of the different security services backed by the international coalition aviation and tribal fighters.

The commander of Anbar Operations Maj. Gen. Ismail al-Mahalawi said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces are preparing for the cleansing battles of Fallujah from ISIS guerrilla.”

The statement added, “The cleansing battle will start next week, with the participation of the army, police, Anti-Terrorism forces, tribal fighters and the international coalition aviation.”

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights warned of using the civilian as human shields by ISIS during Fallujah cleansing battles, while called the security forces to secure safe havens for the unarmed civilians.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights also revealed, that ISIS has kidnapped 100 children from the residents of Fallujah to recruit them in terrorist operations.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights’ member, Fadhel al-Gharawi, said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “ISIS gangs use the civilians as human shields in Fallujah, and booby-trap houses in spite the presence of civilians in these houses.”

The statement added, “ISIS kidnapped 100 children from Fallujah during the last three days to use them in terrorist operations.”
