| Iraqi forces attack a village near al-Qayyarah (IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Monday, a security source revealed, that the security forces launched an attack on a village near al-Qayyarah south of Mosul. The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “At dawn today the security forces launched an attack on Kabrouk village near al-Qayyarah vicinity south of Mosul, in order to liberate it from the ISIS control.” The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “The security forces are slowly advancing due to the presence of improvised explosive devices.” 40 ISIS troops die defending village in Ninevah (IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Nineveh Liberation Operation Command announced on Monday killing 40 ISIS fighters during the liberation operation of a village in Qayyarah south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad). The commander of Nineveh liberation Operation Maj. Gen. Najm al-Jubouri said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces from the Iraqi army and al-Hashed al-Shaabi backed by the international coalition aircraft managed to kill 40 ISIS fighters during the liberation of Kabrouk village in Qayyarah south Mosul.” Jubouri added, “The liberation operation of the village took less than two hours and didn’t cause any casualties among the security forces.” |
