7 ISIS Bad Guys die as Iraqi forces take Swinakh area

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya Operations Command in Anbar Province announced liberating an area northwest of Baghdadi vicinity west of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad), while pointed out to the killing of seven members of the so-called ISIS during the operation.

The commander of al-Jazeera and al-Badiya Operations, Maj. Gen. Ali Ibrahim Dabon, said in a brief statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The joint forces from the army and al-Jzeera Operations 7th brigade backed by tribal fighters managed, before noon today, to liberate Swinakh area northwest of Baghdadi vicinity (70 km west of Ramadi) from the ISIS control,” noting that, “The operation resulted in the killing of seven ISIS members.”

Dabon added, “The security forces shelled ISIS strongholds near Swinakh area in preparation for storming them in the next few hours.”

5 die in ISIS rocket artillery attack in Khalidiya District

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, Khalidiya District Council in Anbar Province announced, that 20 people had been either killed or wounded in a rocket attack launched by ISIS in eastern Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad).

The Head of Khalidiya District Council Ali Dawood said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, ISIS fighters attacked areas in Khalidiya District (19 km east of Ramadi) with 24 Katyusha rockets and mortar shells, killing five civilians and wounding 15 others.”

Dawood added, “ISIS launched the rocket attack from Khalidiya Island and Kartan areas in eastern Ramadi,” pointing out that, “The security forces are working to identify the location of the rocket launchers in Khalidiya Island, in order to respond to the attack and destroy ISIS strongholds.”

25 ISIS Bad Guys die in operations near Haditha

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The leadership of al-Hashed al-Shaabi in Anbar Province announced on Monday the liberation of Euphrates basin areas between Baghdadi vicinity and Haditha District west of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad) from the ISIS control, while indicated to the killing of 25 ISIS militants and the destruction of seven underground tunnels.

The intelligence director of Somoud brigade in al-Hashed al-Shaabi, Nazim Aljughaifi, said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, security forces from the army, police and tribal fighters were able to liberate the areas of Euphrates basin and all the villages and valleys between Baghdadi vicinity and Haditha District west of Ramadi from the ISIS control,” noting that, “The battle resulted in the killing of 25 ISIS militants.”

Aljughaifi added, “The international coalition aviation had a distinguished role in the destruction of seven secret underground tunnels,” indicating that, “The security forces began dismantling IEDs from the liberated areas in the Euphrates basin.”

Iraqi forces capture al-Baraziya

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The commander of al-Jazeerah Operations, Ali Ibrahim Dboun, said on Monday, that the security forces and supporting clans had managed to liberate the village of al-Baraziya, northeast of al-Baghdadi vicinity, from the ISIS control.

Dboun said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Security forces belonging to the [army’s] Seventh Division as well as the police and clan fighters had managed to liberate the village of al-Baraziya northeast of al-Baghdadi vicinity (90 km west of Ramadi) from the ISIS [control],” pointing out that, “[The forces] raised the Iraqi flag over one of its buildings.”

Iraqi forces capture al-Ameriya

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The commander of al-Jazeerah Operations, Maj. Gen. Ali Ibrahim Dboun, announced on Monday liberating the village of al-Ameriya northeast of Bruwana in western Anbar.

Dboun said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Security forces belonging to the [army’s] Seventh Division as well as the police and clan fighters had managed, today, to liberate the village of al-Ameriya northeast of Bruwana north of Haditha City (160 km west of Ramadi) from ISIS,” adding that, “The forces raised the Iraqi flag over one of its buildings.”
