| Taliban judge killed during an operation in Helmand province |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] Taliban’s shadow judge for southern Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province was killed during an operation Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) led by 215th Maiwand Corps of the Afghan Army. According to a statement by 215th Maiwand Corps, the operations were conducted in Marjah district where Taliban’s shadow judge Haji Rahmatulalh was killed along with a member of the military commission of the group. The statement further added that 20 fighters of the group were also killed and 3 others were maimed during the same operation. Another senior Taliban leader Mawlavi Mahajir was killed together with his 2 fighters during a separate operation conducted in Greshk district of Helmand, the statement said. The Afghan cops also seized a PK machine, 1 Ak-47 rifle, and 2 communication devices belonging to the Lion of Islams. According to the 215th Maiwand Corps, the Afghan National Security Forces and the local residents did not suffer any casualties during the operations. The Talibs group has not commented regarding the report so far. Helmand is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where anti-government armed Lion of Islam groups are actively operating and frequently carry out insurgency activities. |
