Jimmy Carter: Trump tapped a reservoir ‘of inherent racism’
2016-05-25
[YAHOO] Former President Jimmy Carter
... the second worst president ever...
had some tough words on Monday for Donald Trump.
"Jimmy Carter" and "tough." That's a set of words you don't often see in one sentence.
Carter told the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
that Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, had "tapped a waiting reservoir there of inherent racism."
Every election it comes out. Romney and McCain were racists. Bob Dole was a racist. Both George Bushes were racists.
He also said Trump had violated human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
with some of his incendiary comments on the campaign trail. According to the Times, Carter cited Trump’s proposal to bar Muslims from the U.S. and his claim that Mexico is sending criminals across the U.S. border.
How does a proposal violate "human rights?" If you don't like it, argue against it.
"When you single out any particular group of people for secondary citizenship status, that’s a violation of basic human rights," the former president said.
How can people who aren't citizens have "secondary citizenship status?"
Carter, 91, gave the interview to the Times in order to highlight a Baptist conference he is hosting this fall to address race issues and social inequality. He told the paper that he has seen an increase of open racism.
From the time Bull Connor set the fire hoses and the dogs on people?
"I don’t feel good, except for one things: I think the country has been reawakened the last two or three years to the fact that we haven’t resolved the race issue adequately," he said.
We elected a man who was bi-racial and got one who was black.
He further said, "I think there’s a heavy reaction among some of the racially conscious Republicans against an African-American being president."
Maybe it's not his race? Maybe it's the fact that he's a communist?

#14  He can't go to Heaven and Hell won't take him.

And Purgatory isn't a permanent solution.

#13  Jimmuh couldn't work up the courage to punch himself out of a wet paper bag because, then and now, he second-guessed every motivation he and others had. Sometimes, you just need to shoot and stop worrying about it.

#11  Follwing up on lord garth's statement: based onwhat Alan Dershowitz dug up, it looks like former president Carter received at least $20 million from Saudi sources going back to the late 1970s.

#4  jimmy carter tapped a reservoir of anti semite money

lots of contributions to his foundation from really awful folks including, for example, the bin laden foundation and the Zayed foundation

having Carter denounce you is like being criticized by one of Satan's public affairs lobbyists

#1  No dipshit. We don't care if he is "African-American", aka Melanin rich.

We hate him because he is a symptom of the sickness that is being spread by progressive pukes like yourself that is destroying freedom and this country.

The faster you all die of bowel cancer the happier I'll be.
