Saadi said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Today, more than 100 ISIS members launched a violent attack on the security forces that are stationed in al-Nauimiya area in southern the city.” Saadi added, “The security forces backed by the international coalition aviation, Iraqi Air Force and Army Aviation managed to repulse the attack and killed 75 ISIS members, as well as inflicting human and material loses on the organization.” Iraqi warbirds pound ISIS positions near al-Shuhada (IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – A security source in Anbar province said on Tuesday, that the international coalition aviation shelled intensively the ISIS defensive positions in the area of al-Shuhada south of Fallujah. The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition aviation has offered substantial support for the security forces to storm Fallujah from the southern axis,” noting that, “The coalition [aviation] bombarded the ISIS defensive positions in the area of al-Shuhada south of the city.” The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The bombardment resulted in the destruction of the ISIS defensive positions, in addition to inflicting big material and human losses upon their ranks.” |
