| 6 ISIS troops die in counterattack attempt in Salahuddin |

| (IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Monday, a source in Salahuddin Operations Command revealed, that ten members of ISIS and the security forces had been either killed or wounded during the repulsion of an attack launched by ISIS in eastern Tikrit, while pointed out that ISIS launched another attack in northern Tikrit. The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces managed to repel an attack launched by ISIS on the security forces’ defense lines in al-Zarka area in eastern Tikrit, resulting in the killing of 6 ISIS members and wounding of 4 members of the security forces.” The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “ISIS launched the attack while wearing the Iraqi army uniform.” |
