Was There More Than One Orlando Shooter?
2016-06-13
[PalmBeachPost] Possibly salient quote from the article:
He said he heard another gun from a different direction, so he wonders if there were two gunmen.
There's also this, which seems odd:
“In a moment of desperation we were all crawling on the floor trying to find a place to exit. I looked to my right and I could see people going through some curtains. We were digging through the curtains and found a door.’’

But he said the door was blocked by a man. He wasn’t sure if it was a club security person or an accomplice to the gunmen.

“Fifty people were trying to jump over each other trying to exit the place. There was a guy holding the door and not letting us exit. He’s like ‘Stay inside, stay inside.’ As he is saying that, the shooter keeps getting closer and closer and the sound of the bullets is getting closer. Everyone starts to panic. People are getting trampled. Let us out, let us out!’’’

Gonzalez’ first thought was that it was a hate crime. “This guy is trying to prevent us from leaving. Maybe they’re working together,’’

#8  Depends of if the had to push, or pull the door. It's very herd to pull open a door when people are in a panic to get out isn't it?

#7  I'm with Barbara with this, there's no way they wouldn't have trampled a guy holding the door. Even if the door was locked, there's a good chance the sheer force from multiple people trying to break it would have unhinged the doorframe.

Well, unless the people in Miami have become more helpless to violence than I think they are.

#6  Depends on which side of the door he was standing...

#5  "Fifty people were trying to jump over each other trying to exit the place. There was a guy holding the door and not letting us exit."

Let's think about that a minute: 50 people trying to get out, 1 guy holding the door shut.

I know everyone was scared, and rightfully so, but 1 held back 50? You didn't think to pull a Butch Cassidy on him?

#4  Gun shots reverberate, people do stupid things in a panic. Unless the ballistics show multiple shooters, I'd chalk this up to poor interpretation of the events.

#3  There's always a 2nd (or third or Perp+n) gun person.

#2  Some clubs do have a policy of locking and guarding side entrances to prevent crashers

just ask the Great White fans in Rhode Island

#1  Some clubs do have a policy of locking and guarding side entrances to prevent crashers, but that guy keeping everyone in was either an accomplice or a stupidly zealous guard.

More likely the former.
