Robert Kagan To Fundraise For Beest
2016-06-25
[ForeignPolicy] A prominent neoconservative intellectual and early promoter of the Iraq War is headlining an official campaign fundraiser for Hillary Clinton next month, Foreign Policy has learned. The move signals a shift in the Clinton campaign’s willingness to associate with prominent Republicans and is the latest sign of how far some GOP defectors are willing to go to block a Donald Trump presidency.

Robert Kagan, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a co-founder of the Project for the New American Century, will speak at a Hillary for America fundraiser in Washington’s Logan Circle neighborhood on July 21. According to an invite obtained by FP, the “event will include an off-the-record conversation on America’s continued investment in NATO, key European allies and partners, and the EU.”

#10  The Project for the New American Century closed down in 2006. Kagan and Kristol then founded the Foreign Policy Initiative in 2009. Kagan has since moved far to the left, while Kristol is thrashing around wondering, like Custer, what happened to his troops. Both are insignificant.

#9  I think they're all angling for the lucrative appointment of Ambassador to Libya.

And they can all potentially get it as well.

#8  Neo-cons came from Dem party, largely through Scoop Jackson, who was a globalist ("Senator from Boeing"). Hillary is a Globalist, wants to dissolve USA national sovereignty in favor of "rules-based international order." Sure. So Kagan is just going home. Brookings is globalism central, takes Saudi and other sovereign wealth fund monies, as I recall.

Really tells you all you need to know right there.

The only party that they support is the "Beltway Party" of corruptocrats.

#3  Kagan is married to the American diplomat Victoria Nuland, who serves as Assistant Secretary of European and Eurasian Affairs in the Barack Obama administration. Wiki

Next question please.

#1  Curious how lefties will appreciate the close relationship between Clinton and a neocon. I thought they'd been vilifying the neocons for years.
