| Wanted man killed in gunfire after raid on village |

| A wanted man has been killed in Saudi Arabia’s oil-producing Eastern province after an exchange of gunfire while police were searching his home, state news agency SPA reported on Thursday. An Interior Ministry statement carried early Thursday by the state-run Saudi Press Agency identified the dead man as Abdulrahim Ali Abdulrahim al-Faraj. The ministry said the raid Wednesday in Awwamiya saw the suspects open fire first. It said the shootout wounded no civilians or security force members.
