[Bangkok Post] A father and his son were killed and another villager wounded in a gun attack in Yala province on Tuesday night, police said. The attack occurred at about 9 p.m. at a house in Muang district. According to police, while Alawi Itae was walking to the back of the house with a bag of fertilizer for his son to take to school at least two attackers hiding in a rubber plantation opened fire on him, killing him instantly. The noise of the gunfire caused his father, Dolo Itae, to rush to help his son. He was also gunned down by the attackers. A stray bullet also injured neighbor Romuli Chelo in the hand. The attackers then fled.
