Donald Trump Promises Reform In Speech To VFW In Charlotte
2016-07-27
[ABC11] Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump continued his swing through North Carolina on Tuesday with a speech to the VFW convention in Charlotte.

Trump spoke about problems within the Veterans Administration, including the scandal of long waits and poor quality healthcare.

"We're going to bring honesty back to government and that starts with the VA," Trump told the crowd.

Trump promised a new VA leader and punishment for employees who risk the safety, health, and well-being of veterans.

Trump said - like Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzla and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another James Baker ...
- he's not in favor of privatizing the VA system.

"The VA system will remain a public system because it is a public trust," he said.

#5  Personally I can't imagine Trump being worse than Clinton in anyway that matters to me or the US.

To certain segments of the Federal gov't ? Sure but that's a plus to me.

#4  A case where the devil you don't know (Trum) might be better than the devil you do know (Broom Hilda).

#1  I'd say he faces an uphill battle.

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest federal employee union representing 650000 federal and D.C. government workers.
