Clint Eastwood: Trump says 'dumb things' but people should 'get over it'
2016-08-05
[Reuters] Clint Eastwood, the 86-year-old four-time Oscar winner, excoriated the current generation of Americans as weak and overly sensitive while backing Donald Trump even though the Republican presidential hopeful has "said a lot of dumb things."

Eastwood, a prominent celebrity supporter of the Republican Party who appeared at its 2012 U.S. presidential nominating convention, offered a harsh assessment of Americans in an interview with Esquire magazine published on Wednesday.

"He's onto something because secretly everybody's getting tired of political correctness, kissing up," the acclaimed actor and director said of Trump. "That's the kiss-ass generation we're in right now. We're really in a pussy generation. Everybody's walking on eggshells."

"We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren't called racist," Eastwood added.

Given the choice between Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Trump in the Nov. 8 election, the celebrated star of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" said, "That's a tough one, isn't it? I'd have to go for Trump ... you know, 'cause she's declared that she's gonna follow in Obama's footsteps."

#8  ...did the same thing with Wolf vs. Roberts @ Senate, dang near lost them the general.

How bad? Wife asked if it was ok she didn't vote this year. I know in Kansas our vote does not really count, but I am sure there are swing state voters who feel the same.

Trump hits on the golf and weather channel show me just how rooted the crab grass is.

#7  Well the establishment gave us the bird with the Huelskamp primary. Nasty little hit.

Establishment seems to have their finger on the pulse of voters...and keeps squeezing.

As a simple business approach, they have more to gain from a known Clinton residency; the reps are known, predictable business climate, so forth.

#6  That would be the same CO that the Trunk establishment made sure they'd be #NeverTrump without asking the party base. Basically flipping the finger to the proles . Yep, that will enhance turnout.

Hope that is suspended, and not done.

Still early, like the baseball season.

#2  Meanwhile, Clinton isn't even bothering running ads in VA or CO anymore.

#1  Eastwood; another American treasure. "Trump says dumb things?" Hilda and Obummer also say very dumb things--it's just that the MSM ding trump incessantly but say little about Hilda and Obean. I've never, ever seen the Donks unload on anyone to the extent they are hammering Trump. They are firing everything.
