| Fresh violence claims lives of 10 soldiers, 61 militants: MoD |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least 10 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers bit the dust in the latest counter-terrorism operations across the country in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said Saturday. This comes as the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) are busy conducting their annual counter-terrorism operations across the country. The annual operation ’Shafaq’ was launched in response to Taliban’s annual spring offensive which the group launched in mid-April this year. |
