(IraqiNews.com) – Baghdad – Iraqi military helicopter crashed on Wednesday due to a technical failure during a security mission carried out towards south of the country, which led to the injury of crew members.
Police officer in the province of Maysan, seeking anonymity, said, “An Air Force helicopter today crashed during its implementation of a security mission in al-Majar district, southwest of Amarah city in Maysan province.”
The officer added, “Nine members were on board survived the crash, but suffered various injuries. The helicopter was hit by a technical malfunction, the crew tried to make an emergency landing, but it fell to the ground, which led to the crash.” |
