Petite woman equalizes hulking robber ... permanently
2016-08-19 | ||
“I was scared, at first. I thought, ‘Am I really getting robbed?’” Miracle told ABC15. Miracle said she was leaving the Circle K near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road with her family early Monday morning when the suspect, Frank Taylor , tried to bum a cigarette. She told him that she didn’t have one, and then seconds later, Miracle said, she could feel the barrel of the gun against her skin. “He put the gun up to my neck and said, ‘It’s loaded, don’t move,’” Miracle said. ”I think he thought, ‘She’s a little girl. Maybe she doesn’t know how to use her weapon.’” Miracle said, “I dropped my soda, released my gun from my holster and cocked it. I shot him and ran in the opposite direction."
Miracle, who became emotional when she later returned to the gas station, said that she is struggling with what happened and will for some time. “I feel bad, I didn’t mean to kill him. I feel bad for his mom. I feel bad because I just found out that he has a 1-week-old baby. I didn’t mean to do it, but I had to protect myself,” Miracle said. The case has been handed over to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. They will determine whether Miracle will be charged, which is standard procedure in these types of cases.

#5 I like how the news channel put quotes around "to protect herself". She should have talked him out of it, that's the civilized way. At least, that's what my betters tell me. |

#4 She might feel remorse, but she needs to shut the hell up. She may get off on any charges, but she will get sued in a civil court. I wish her the best in dealing with the realities of taking a life, remember even terrorists have moms. Its tough. Arizona is a gun state, armed robbers are fools in this state... |

#2 Forced to do the job the government won't. There is no perfection, just trade offs. Gun grabbers would rather glow in their arrogant virtue and the gal dead or raped. Tell me who is the true evil. |

#1 Inline that is for sure - victim may never get over this. Wifey shot a knife-wielding home invader 30 years back, not fatally, still has nightmares tho - bastard was laying there going "bitch wtf you shot me you crazy" - still she is here and he is still in prison (got out after 8 years and did the same stupid ass shit again and pulled life) I never shot anyone. I'd like to think I would just shrug it off as righteous. I cannot console her even after all that time when the bad dreams come. She is with me still. Thank you Lord and a handy .357 |
