| IED Blast hits AMISOM convoy in southern Somalia |

| An improvised explosive device (IED) tore through an AMISOM military convoy outside Afgoye district, 30 kilometers north-west of Mogadishu on Sunday. Joe Kibet, the spokesman of AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has confirmed the attack, but did not provide further details regarding the casualties on soldiers. A local resident who asked to be identified, told Radio Shabelle by phone the IED blast damaged one of the AU troops’ convoy of vehicles near Afgoye city. |
