Kop dies in bomb attack in Khalidiya
(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – A source in Anbar Operations Command informed that in an IED explosion in Khalidiya, eastern Ramadi, killed one policeman and injured three others.
Sharing details the source further informed, “At noon today, one policeman was killed and three others were injured, when an IED exploded while the police team was carrying out a search operation in the liberated areas of Khalidiya Island, 20 km in eastern Ramadi.”
“Security forces rushed to the incident area and searched the area in anticipation of finding other IEDs,” the source further added.
Iraqi forces prepare attack on Ramadi Island
(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Mayor of Ramadi Ibrahim al-Awsaj said that the security troops are waiting for orders to start the liberation battle of Ramadi Island from the ISIS control.
Awsaj, in a statement issued to the media, said, “Security force after liberating Khalidiya Island completely, will start the liberation battles of Ramadi Island especially after completing all the preparations needed for the battle.”
In 9 August 2016, the Mayor of Ramadi called upon the security forces to move to Ramadi Island in order to liberate it. Ramadi has lot of importance.
