EXCLUSIVE: Full video of Kirkuk police catching and defusing juvenile suicide bomber
2016-08-23
[Rudaw] Kirkuk police caught a young boy on Sunday night wearing a boom jacket and trying to blow it up inside a Shiite Husseiniya mosque.

As seen in the video captured by a Rudaw camera, two coppers hold the boy’s arms and wait for more than 20 minutes until bomb disposal engineers arrive and defuse the vest.
Twenty-nine minute video report in Kurdish can be seen at the link.
According to Kirkuk police, the young boy had confessed later on that he had been trained and sent on the mission by his father.

Shortly before he was caught, another young boy went kaboom! at Kirkuk’s Wasit neighborhood. The second boy said he was his brother and had both been prepared for the suicide kaboom by their father.

He also revealed to the police that they were refugees from djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
.
An earlier Rudaw report on the same story -- with a three minute video of the lad being held by police -- added:
A young bomber, aged between 12 and 13, was captured by security forces in Kirkuk’s Huzairan neighborhood, according to a Rudaw reporter on the scene.

A few hours earlier, a suicide bomber detonated his payload at the Wasit neighborhood in front of a Shiite shrine, wounding three people. That followed another suicide bomb attack in the same neighborhood that caused no casualties.

“There is a dangerous campaign tonight against Kirkuk,” a security official, told Rudaw.
CNN adds:
Dramatic video has emerged of Iraqi police stripping an boom belt from a child suspected in a suicide kaboom attempt for ISIS.

Authorities said they believe the 15-year-old came to Kirkuk a week ago from djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, ISIS' most significant stronghold outside Syria.

#2  Indeed! Their forbearance was heroic. Evacuation and a RAB moment must have been tempting.
