| [ALMASDARNEWS] After ISIS-affiliated Jund Al-Aqsa group supported by the FSA faction "Jaish Al-Nasr" captured a few villages and checkpoints on the outskirts of the Christian village of Mharda, local NDF units launched a counterattack capturing Buweida and the surrounding checkpoints. Effectively, the aforementioned jihadists are now surrounded at Madagin village lying at the mercy of the assaulting government troops. To rub salt onto the wounds of the terrorist-affiliated bully boys, Syrian and Russian warplanes have unleashed an incessant bombing campaign on their positions in the vicinity of Morek and Lataminah targeting their supply lines, fortifications, and armored vehicles. It is most likely that this surprise offensive was aimed at lifting the pressure off the kill zone of southwest Aleppo where high-ranking Jaish Al-Fateh commanders are being killed on a daily basis. Therefore, it is unlikely that the Islamists are going to maintain their positions for long in the relatively static front line of northern Hama. |
