2 die in bombing attack in Sabaa al-Bour

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior, Iraq, informed on Tuesday that two people were killed and nine others wounded in a bomb blast to the north of Baghdad.

Sharing details the source said,” An explosive device exploded this morning, near a popular market in Sabaa al-Bour, north of Baghdad. Two people killed and nine others wounded.”

“Ambulances rushed to the area and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the deceased were sent to the forensic department. Security force cordoned off the area of incident,” further added the source seeking anonymity.

2 Iraqi soldiers gunned down in al-Houra

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior, Iraq, informed on Tuesday that two army men were killed and five others injured when unidentified gunmen fired on a unit of the Iraqi Army at north of Baghdad.

Sharing details the source said, “This morning, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a unit of Iraqi Army with automatic guns. The attack was made while the army unit was carrying out a raid and search operation at al-Houra village in Tarmiya district, north of Baghdad. Two army men were killed and five others were injured.”

The source, seeking anonymity, further said, “Security forces transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the deceased to the forensic department. The forces are still looking for the perpetrators of the attack.”

Security forces seize munitions laden vehicle in Akrof

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A well placed source in the police department informed on Tuesday that the security forces seized a vehicle carrying rocket launchers, which had 35 rockets installed in it and were ready for launch. The vehicle was seized to the west of Baghdad.

“Security forces today seized a Kia truck, which had 35 rockets installed in it and were ready for launch. The vehicle was seized at Akrof in Abu Ghraib district, west of Baghdad. The vehicle also carried three rocket launchers and 35 Katyusha rockets,” added the source.

“Security forces, later, cordoned off the area and took the vehicle to a safe place for further investigation,” further added the source seeking anonymity.

2 die in bombing attack in al-Madain district

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior revealed that two persons were killed and four others injured in a bomb blast near a cemetery in southern Baghdad.

Sharing further details the source informed, “A bomb exploded at noon today near a cemetery at al-Madain district in southern Baghdad, killing two persons and wounding four others.”

“Ambulances rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the deceased to the forensic department,” the source added.
