[ALLAFRICA] A witness says 5 people were died and several others hurt when a remote-controlled landmine blast destroyed a vehicle near Afgoye on Sunday.The kaboom happened at Wayo-arag village, 8Km south of Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region, according the witness who asked not to be named.
The bus was completely destroyed by the bomb, killing five people who were onboard on the spot. No group or individual claimed credit for the IED attack.
The vehicle has been travelling from Muri to Afgoye town at the time of the attack, the witness said while giving a phone interview with Radio Shabelle.
