Jordan nabs massive haul of drug fueling Syria fighters

[IsraelTimes] Jordan says it has seized a "record" haul of more than 13 million Captagon pills, one of the most commonly used drugs among fighters in neighboring Syria.

The interior ministry says three alleged traffickers, including a foreigner, were placed in durance vile

A ministry statement says the pills were discovered hidden inside tumble dryers in the house of one of those arrested, near Amman.

Captagon is classified by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime as an "amphetamine-type stimulant" and usually blends amphetamines, caffeine and other substances.

There have been numerous reports of Captagon use among groups waging Syria’s war.
...and also numerous reports of jihadi groups, including ISIS, manufacturing and selling the stuff for fun and profit. The hangover throughout the region when the war peters out is going to be a doozy...
Jordan’s interior ministry says the haul of tablets was bound for "another country" without providing details.

#5  If I ran the CIA, I might flood the ISIS guys with Captagon look-alike pills, but they'd contain something far nastier than fentanyl...

#4  Flood the area with Captagon look alikes that are actually nasty doses of Chinese fentanyl analogs. Only a few problems:

People who thing CIA "invented" crack will freak.
"Human rights" organizations will call it war crime.
UN sill announce access to Captagon is a human right...

#1  Ever heard of the term "Dutch Courage" ? The Moslems of today seem to have amphetamines as a mainstay.

Personally I wouldn't recommend going into Combat mode completely Gorked. You have enough problems as it is.
