| 145 Palestinians charged over online incitement this year |

| [IsraelTimes] The IDF says it has indicted more than 145 Paleostinians so far this year for incitement over social media. Sunday’s announcement comes amid an Israeli campaign to stamp out the online incitement it says fueled months of Paleostinian attacks. Earlier this month, ministers Gilad Erdan and Ayelet Shaked met with Facebook executives to discuss ways of limiting calls to violence on the platform. Israel says Facebook should do more to monitor and control content, raising a host of issues over whether the company is responsible for material posted by its users. Israeli politicians have proposed legislation that seeks to force social networks to remove content Israel considers to be incitement. |
