| Nearly one-third of Americans boycotting NFL because of BLM protests: poll |

| [Wash Times] Nearly one-third of American adults say they are less likely to watch a National Football League game because of the growing number of Black Lives Matter protests that are happening by players on the field, a Rasmussen poll found. Thirty-two percent polled online and by telephone said they’re willing to skip NFL games this year because of player protests over racial issues, the pollster said on Tuesday. Only 13 percent said they were more likely to watch the games because of the protests, and 52 percent said the protests had no impact on their viewing decisions. Twenty-eight percent of African Americans said they were more likely to tune-into an NFL game because of the protests, compared to 8 percent of whites and 16 percent of other Americans, the poll found. Whites were twice as likely as blacks to say they are less likely to watch this year. |

| #14 Super Bowl will be the test. Since they know the numbers year after year if there is a 1/3 drop off it'll be huge. |

| #13 Their problem is when people get used to not watching the games. One day, we went and planted trees. Another, played with the kids. Chores get done in 1/4 of the time, instead of rubbernecking the tube. Its great. To be honest, and as I have said, I grew up bleeding Chiefs red, and peeing Chiefs gold. The industry has been rubbing me raw with the personality-forward marketing approach, or as I call it the soccerization of sports in general and very much so with football. Fantasy this, he said what that, what outlandish personality commentator can we get - then those personalities told me I was responsible for a murder-suicide by a belligerent drunked up drug head whose baby's momma called him out for spending the night with a mistress. This, this just does it. No more Latin month, no more pink month, no more wasted time. And the feeling has crept into my view of college ball. |
