| FSA offensive in Dara’a off to a disastrous start |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... 's Southern Front alliance launched a new offensive in the relatively calm Dara'a province aimed at recapturing the abandoned base, Abu Kaser checkpoints, Abu Madi Farms, Tawil Farms, Atisah Farms, and cutting the Dara'a-Damascus highway. So far, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was able to repel the attack on the abandoned base killing at least 10 Salafist tough guys including two high ranking military commanders known as Abdallah Qassem and Rustum Kanakri. The offensive would change from bad to worse when government troops destroyed a rebel tank and two technical vehicles while repelling the assault. Rebels are very likely to abort this offensive after incurring heavy losses without any field advances whatsoever. The fronts in southern Syria have been very stale this past year as several jihadist offensives would utterly fail in securing any positive results for the disgruntled bully boys. |
