| Azimpur raid: 3 female militants put on 7-day remand |

| [Dhaka Tribune] A Death Eater was killed and the three women were maimed when police made a raid at an Azimpur residence in the capital on September 10. A Dhaka court has granted seven days remand plea for the three female Death Eaters, who were detained in the Azimpur raid on September 10. Metropolitan Magistrate Md Nur Nabi passed the order on Sunday after they were produced before the court by Investigation Office and also Additional Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit Md Ehsanul Haq. Shaila, wife of Basharuzzaman, told the court that all three were coaxed into joining militancy by their husbands. A Death Eater was killed and the trio ‐ Afrin alias Priyoti, 25, Adedatul Fatema alias Khadiza, 35, and Shaila Afrin, 23 ‐ were maimed when the CTTC raided a Death Eater den in Azimpur on September 10. In this regard, police on the next day lodged a case against several suspected bully boyz including the three women with Lalbagh cop shoppe. The injured were sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment after they were tossed in the clink Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try! On Saturday, they have been taken to the Detective Branch (DB) of police after they were released from DMCH. |
