 Assailants thought be Al Shabaab members have shot and killed an elder on Thursday evening in Somali capital, Mogadishu, according to eyewitness. Pistol-wielding men have gunned down the elder who was identified as Mohamed Tabari Shikhow,
80, at Suq Ba’ad in Mogadishu’s northern district of Yaqshidd in during the dusk.
The motive behind the elder’s killing is unclear, but unconfirmed reports suggest the slain elder was expected to take part the selection process of the next Somali parliament’s MPs.
