| Youth held for torching Kali temple in Netrakona |

| [Dhaka Tribune] Local people caught a youth red handed after he torched a Kali Temple in Poura area of Netrakona district on Saturday morning. Md Sanowar Hossain, circle superintendent of Sadar police, said: "Sumon torched the Satpai Kali Temple in the area on Saturday morning. Locals rushed to the spot after seeing the fire. They doused the fire and detained Sumon. Later they handed him over to the police." Police took him to custody and started interrogating in this regard, said Sanowar. Police revealed Sumon Islam is from Narsingdi and not a Netrokona local. Superintendent of Police Joydeb Chowdhury said RAB, police and detective branch are investigating the incident. |
