, said the blast occurred after suspected Al shabaab assailants hurled a grenade bomb on Somali government soldiers in a pick-up.
In the aftermath of the attack, security forces cordoned off the scene near the bomb site, and kicked off a manhunt for the suspects, according the the eyewitnesses.
There was no immediate reports on the casualties as a result of the grenade attack in Bakaro market. Police in the area were unreachable for comments on the incident.
