#32  For the record - I owe Mr. Besoeker a steak dinner at the location of his choice.

#31  It's really very easy to explain. Everyone, whether genetically, or whatever, has the yearning and a sense of the divine, God, or strong spiritual connection with something beyond us mere humans. And that is a good thing. But when you are waiting for the human Messiah, you project the spiritual and divine on Dear Leader. And when Dear Leader comes up short, you are devastated. Look at kings that were considered gods, look at Stalin, Hitler, Jim Jones, Bernie Sanders. They were just human. What a let down. Well, gotta Man and Woman up and get on with life and learn a lesson. Or climb in the freezer and be a snowflake.

#29  Doesn't sound like a bad person to me, #28 Chantry - sounds perfectly normal. :-D

#28  I am a bad person, I have really enjoyed the rage, whining, weeping and misery of Clinton supporters today and I fully expect to enjoy it for some time.

#27  Yep, Ship. The blue is the very poorest counties (migrant farm workers, inner cities, cotton belt, Indian reservations,) and the very richest (some state capitals, rich districts in big cities, richest suburbs.)

#26  Interior Northern California counties (EL Dorado, Placer, Amador, etc are another enclave. Go 80 miles west to start finding the blue idiots in large numbers...

#25  We're outnumbered in our little enclaves but we're here so please don't nuke us all. Just because I love the ocean doesn't mean I'm a Democrat.

Same here. I only work in Seattle.

#24  Glenmore, examine the map, see the continual blue from the Virginia Tidewater to the Mississippi Delta? That's the real deal Cotton Belt.

Thanks for looking out for us coasties, Abu Uluque.

#19  Remember that the map is county-wide and not adjusted for population. The urban counties with cities have a much larger population that is "under-represented" in this particular map.

Though I confess I like all the red...

#18  You know how the Daily Mail has LOTS of photographs, right? So click the link to see the lamentations of her women. A lot of sad faces.

#17  BUT HILLARY WON THE POPULAR VOTE!!!!!!!

But who will abolish the Electoral College now?

#16  Sending out Wormtongue John Podesta to make the "we're not conceding yet" speech was a particularly... appropriate... touch.

You expected her to stay up that late?

#14  With regard to the map that Bright Pebbles posted, before y'all get too upset at those of us who live on the coasts please remember there are those of us here who voted for Trump. We're outnumbered in our little enclaves but we're here so please don't nuke us all. Just because I love the ocean doesn't mean I'm a Democrat.

#11  On that map the blue counties are almost entirely the very poorest and very richest; the red are everything in between.

#9  Will be interesting to watch Hillary's health over the next 6 months. I'm guessing no more public appearances.
Posted by: Iblis   2016-11-09 12:34

#8  That map is a county-level map of which ones went with Trump and which went with Clinton. Note that any counties in large cities went for Clinton, while the rest went with Trump.

#7  #1 Bright Pebbles: What is the source of this map? The distribution of red voters is truly astounding.
