| Syrian Army, Kurdish forces liberate more territory from ISIS in east Aleppo |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) have made several advances in the eastern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate today, forcing the so-called "Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) retreat east towards their stronghold of al-Bab. Led by the Elite Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army managed to liberate the small village of Umm Ahmad al-Talatin after overrunning the Islamic State's main defensive line this afternoon. In addition to liberating the village of Umm Ahmad al-Talatin, the Syrian Arab Army has captured a number of small hilltops en route to the strategic radar base located directly west of al-Bab. The Syrian Armed Forces were able to make these rapid gains today, thanks in large-part to the Kurdish-led "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF), who have applied pressure on the Islamic State's positions in the north. |
