| Iraqi forces destroy ISIS unit in Diyali |

| Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Commander of Tigris Operations, Major General Mazhar al-Ezzawi announced on Wednesday, that his forces destroyed a unit belonging to the Islamic State group, and dismantled two improvised explosive devices, northeast of Baqubah. Ezzawi said in a press statement, “Today, forces from Tigris Operations carried out raids in the gardens of the areas of al-Zour and al-Makhisa, resulting in the destruction of a unit belonging to the Islamic State grouo (ISIS), as well as dismantling two improvised explosive devices.” “Tigris Operations continues executing an extensive strategy to pursue ISIS sleeper cells in Diyala,” Ezzawi added. “The [Tigris] Operations also made important achievements in the previous months,” Ezzawi explained. Tigris Operations succeeded in the previous months to destroy many units belonging to the ISIS in different areas of Diyala. |
