The Lions of Islam were involved in a range of armed attacks on security personnel and checkpoints during the last two years. They were killed after security forces opened fire on them while they were in an apartment building, the statement added.
The Interior Ministry said two of the men killed were wanted in connection with deadly attacks on coppers and a third was a bomb maker for the group. | ||
