Iraqi kops capture explosives laden vehicle in Abu Gharib
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Commander of Baghdad Operations, Major General Jalil al-Rabiei, announced on Monday seizing a vehicle carrying explosives belts and IEDs, in western the capital.
Rabiei said in a press statement, “Security forces confiscated a vehicle carrying explosive belts and a number of improvised explosive devices at Abu Gharib checkpoint.”
“The vehicle was moving toward Baghdad,” Rabiei explained. “The security forces also arrested the vehicle’s driver,” Rabiei added.
Earlier today, Baghdad Operations announced seizing another vehicle carrying explosive devices on Mohamed al-Qassim highway, in central the province.
