| [EXPRESS.CO.UK] A TWIN kaboom in Baghdad has killed at least 28 people and injured more than 50 people in a suspected terror attack. Police and medics said 54 people were maimed in the kaboom, which killed at least 28 people at a busy market in central Baghdad, Iraq. The blast is said to have occured in the Iraqi capital at the Sinak Market in the al-Rasheed district. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks, but Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. Police said the blasts went off near car spare parts shops in Sinak during the morning rush. One of the kabooms was triggered by a jacket wallah, the other was a planted explosive, an Interior Ministry official said. Civilians picked through the debris of the kabooms including a food cart torn apart by the blast as medics carried off the casualties. |
