| 2 terror suspects detained in Batagaram |

| Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Hazara region arrested two wanted terrorists with the help of security agencies, according to sources within the CTD. According to CTD officials, Muhammad Nawaz alias Abrash and Azizullah alias Hazaza are members of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, a banned militant outfit. Both men are said to have received militant training in Kunar area in Afghanistan, CTD officials said. Nawaz and Azizullah were involved in a number of terrorism incidents in the past and were also found plotting an attack in the Batagaram region at the time of their arrest, according to CTD officials. CTD officials said the two men revealed major terrorism plots in Batagaram district during their initial interrogation. A video clip of District Police Officer Batagaram was also recovered from the men's posession, according to CTD officials. The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation. |
