[News 11, Atlanta] MABLETON, Ga ‐ A surveillance video has been released that shows the owner of a gun store defending his life and the life of a fellow employee and customers as he opened fire on robbers.

One of the would be thieves died right there in the store.

The video shows just how quickly it happened, when, on Dec. 26, 2016, two armed robbers came in and the owner had to make a life and death situation.

"I had no other choice," said Jimmy Groover. "I hate that I had insufficient time to reload my 1911." "I hate that it happened."

Groover said he was protecting his fellow employee and two customers in the store when he shot and killed one of those robbers.

#9  SPoD and Ship, criminals and slackers in general work at LOT harder at not working than I ever have at any of the actual jobs I've had. I'm just to lazy too be a criminal or a slacker.

#8  SPoD, My Law prof. when I was going for an MBA said that he quit practicing criminal law cause he couldn't deal with the stupidity of his clients.

#6  I've never been in a pawnshop or coin shop that the owner wasn't openly carrying. A stupid place to rob while it's open.

#3  Every time I see one of these DRTs I can't help but think how many other folks are more deserving of this condition.

I think that makes me a bad person.
