| Syrian Army raises flag over Al-Husseniyah in Wadi Barada |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) raised the flag over al-Husseniyah on Sunday after a reconciliation deal was put in place by the town's elders. According to an al-Masdar field correspondent, the town elders of al-Husseniyah negotiated a deal with the Syrian Arab Army after the jihadist rebels refused to end the violence plaguing the Wadi Barada area. In accordance with the ceasefire deal, the Syrian Arab Army was allowed to raise the flag over al-Husseniyah and build checkpoints around the town. The Syrian Arab Army now controls most of al-Husseniyah; however, some parts of the town still has a jihadist presence due to their refusal to leave the area. |
