Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Diyala Police Command announced on Saturday conducting several security operations and arresting seven persons wanted on criminal and terrorism charges in different areas of the province.The Command said in a press statement, “Security forces from Diyala police, emergency regiments and Diyala Intelligence detachments carried out, at noon today, security operations in different areas in Baqubah, al-Wajihiyah, Hamrin and Habhab, resulting in the capture of seven persons wanted on criminal and terrorism charges.”
“The operations were carried out based on accurate intelligence information and arrest warrants issued by the concerned courts,” the statement explained.
“The arrested persons were transferred to a security center for interrogation,” the statement further added.
Large areas of Diyala province were occupied by the Islamic State, then liberated by security forces and al-Hashd al-Shaabi.
