At least four insurgents were killed in clashes with police forces in central Uruzgan province, local police officials said in a statement on Wednesday.In addition, seven other insurgents were injured.
The clashes took place in Chaharcheno district of the province after insurgents attacked police check posts, according to the statement.
However, the statement did not provide further details nor information about casualties among security forces.
The Taliban has not yet commented about the clash.
