Trump's EPA Secretary Will Have ‘16,000 Employees Working Against Him'
2017-01-29
[Daily Caller] PALM SPRINGS, CALIF. -- When likely EPA Secretary Scott Pruitt walks into his first day at the office, "He’ll have 16,000 employees working against him," Sen. James Lankford told a large gathering of libertarian donors Saturday evening.

"And I expect a flood of lawsuits over everything he does."

Pruitt, who has been nominated to lead the EPA by President Donald Trump, is the attorney general of Lankford’s state, Oklahoma. He has faced fierce opposition from the environmentalist left.

Lankford, who chairs the Senate Oversight Subcommittee on Energy Policy, Health Care and Entitlements, was joined on stage by Sens. Mike Lee and Pat Toomey. Their panel, moderated by Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips, was during a dinner on day one of Charles and David Koch’s libertarian Seminar Network in Palm Springs, Calif.

There's real competition for that job.

Just a thought, but it may not be a great idea to play lawfare with a litigious pissed-off billionaire who also happens to be the president of the most powerful country on earth, doesn't give a rat's tail about the rules, and just appointed a guy named Mad Dog (call sign "Chaos") as his secretary of defense. The Sierra Club won't be able to afford a pencil sharpener by the time this is over.

#5  As I recall, during the Nixon administration RIFs (Reductions in Force) were used to get rid of entire segments of agencies in order to circumvent civil service rules. Those unaffected got the message.

#3  If there are 1,600 dedicated employees who are not brainwashed into the global warming scam. the remaining 90% can sod off, and join the ranks of the unemployed.
