[Inquirer] Three Maute terrorist camps in Butig, Lanao del Sur, have been overrun by Philippine military forces. Military spokesman Restituto Padilla said the encampments were in the same areas hit by the air strike by the Philippine Air Force last week.Padilla said the camps were harboring both local and foreign terrorists. He said 15 Maute militants were killed and eight others were injured, including its leader Isnilon Hapilon.
The neutralization of the Abu Sayyaf and the Maute group within six months were ordered by President Duterte to put an end to Islamic terror in the southern Philippines.
