'Allahu Akbar" machete man gunned down at Louvre |
2017-02-03 |
[AFP] A machete-wielding man who yelled "Allahu Akbar" ("God is greatest") was shot and injured as he attacked security forces at the Louvre museum in Paris on Friday, police said. One soldier was injured in the assault by the knifeman who was shot five times and is alive despite his serious injuries. Two backpacks he was carrying did not contain explosives, city police chief Michel Cadot said. Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve called the attack "terrorist in nature" after the incident which led streets around the world-famous museum to be sealed off. The shooting comes with France on its highest state of alert with thousands of troops patrolling the capital following a string of attacks in the last few years. |

#8 I'm on the road at the moment, so can't access it, but the Daily Mail reported the knifeman is an Egyptian who has been in the country for a year -- if someone would be so kind as to post the link, I'd be grateful. |

#5 Five bullets and he is alive. Either they need more range time or their weapons are not powerful enough. I suggest this one instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b7ynt960-s |

#1 Perhaps the French will one day get enough of them and push them all back into Africa. (Old Hansi picture of a German soldier marching out of the Alsace with his loot.) |
