The CIA really is out to get General Flynn |
2017-02-13 |
How come no-one is accusing NSA Director Michael Flynn of taking bribes from Turkey's dictator Recep Erdogan? Not long ago, they did. Last November 18, Commentary Magazine's Noah Rothman called Flynn a "dubious choice" for the National Security Council because his consulting company had a Turkish client, adding that Flynn’s views on Turkey raised a "conflict of interest." Flynn had published an article in The Hill on Nov. 8 warning that America's dalliance with the messianic Turkish Islamist and alleged coup plotter Fetullah Guelen might undermine the country's relationship with NATO, at a time when Russia was giving Turkey the full court press. |

#9 Yes, very sad. The entire episode is sad. |

#8 Well it is sad that he lied. Very bad choice. He was promising. Enjoy your retirement, sir. I hope his replacement can keep tabs on the National-Intel Complex. That their leaks of his conversations brought him down is testimony to how much they are ahead of themselves. |

#6 Flynn is and always will be a sycophant - another Al Haig. He should do the honorable thing and bow out. |

#4 Nope, their budget is completely reportable to OMB and the Prez. If Trump keeps Flynn, then they will identify and delete these problems in the next budget. |

#3 Seeking to undermine the legitimate elected government of......... You name the grid, it's what they do, and they do it with a secret budget. A budget reportable to no one. |

#2 If any of this is true, it's long past calling in the Marine from Quantico and shutting the place down. Seeking to undermine the legitimate elected government of the US is too much to allow in these times. Once was enough with doing it to Bush. |

#1 Author Spengler nailed it, dead on. Flynn refused to be a Klingon surrogate at DIA like his lap-dog predecessors. There were other issues at DIA as well (not found in this article) dealing with DIA's clandestine collection capabilities. Klingon turf issues as it were. The new Director Mike Pompeo has his hands full. BLUF from the article: "Flynn is the one senior US intelligence officer with the guts to blow the whistle on a series of catastrophic intelligence and operational failures. The available facts point to the conclusion that elements of the humiliated (and perhaps soon-to-be-unemployed) intelligence community is trying to exact vengeance against a principled and patriotic officer. When the Turkish smear against Flynn came out in November, I smelled a rat. The present affair stinks like a dumpster full of dead rats." |
