Al-Qaeda approaches strategic towns in northern Hama |
2017-03-24 |
[ALMASDARNEWS] The al-Qaeda linked rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and their jihadist allies from Jaish al-Nasr and Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP) have seized more sites from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), as they push towards the key towns of Qomhana and Ma’an. Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and their allies advanced from the recently captured village of Kawkab towards Ma’an, seizing the large hilltops of Tal Bizam and Tal ’Abadi after a short battle with the Syrian Arab Army. With these points captured, the jihadist rebels are now within striking distance of Ma’an, which is likely to fall in the coming hours if the Syrian Arab Army doesn’t stabilize this front. |
