| Afghan forces and civilians suffer casualties in Khost car bombing |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A heavy kaboom was reported in southeastern Khost province ... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name... of Afghanistan late on Saturday leaving a number of the security forces and civilians dead or maimed. The local officials confirmed the incident took place in the vicinity of Domand district in northern part of the province. Provincial governor’s front man Mubariz Mohammad Zadran said the government has received reports regarding the six students who suffered injuries in the attack. He said the health condition of a number of the maimed is critical but there are still no reports regarding the Afghan forces casualties. In the meantime, another official said at least three Afghan security personnel were killed in the attack and some others were maimed. The eyewitnesses and local residents said the kaboom was powerful enough to shatter the glasses of the several houses in the area. |
