| #5 Note: the service members serving aboard a ship are generally know as sailors, not soldiers. Generally true in Russia as well as here. (Now in China, the navy is referred to as PLAN, or the People's Revolutionary Army Navy. Which sounds like a football game...) |

| #4 Intelligence gathering platform; built off a trawler design. Its chances against a livestock carrier were not good. Locale is known for heavy and somewhat free-for-all marine traffic, fog, and poor visibility as a result. Wonder if the Russians decided not to use their marine-band radio... |
