Police arrest 17 from East Jerusalem on suspicion of rioting

[IsraelTimes] Police tossed in the slammer
Please don't kill me!
17 Paleostinians early Sunday in the East Jerusalem village of Issawiya on suspicion that they participated in rock throwing and other violent activities during protests last week.

Among the arrested were 10 minors who allegedly took part in public disturbances against police that included the throwing of rocks and Molotov cocktails.

The suspects are expected to be brought before the Magistrate’s Court for a hearing on the police’s request to extend their detention.

Violence in East Jerusalem and the West Bank has spiked in the past week as Paleostinians demonstrate solidarity with hunger-striking prisoners currently in Israeli jails.

The IDF said that around 2,000 Paleostinians took part in protests, some of which turned violent. Security forces in most cases responded with riot dispersal means, which in some instances included rubber bullets.
Ynet adds:
Eight rioters were tossed in the clink
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
during the festivities as well.
