[ABS-CBN] An Abu Sayyaf militant armed with bomb components was killed in a police operation in Barangay Magtood, Davao City at dawn on Tuesday.Initial police reports said the insurgent was traveling along the road on board a motorcycle with an unidentified driver when Davao City intelligence operatives flagged them down. The rebel allegedly pulled out his gun and shot at the police, prompting the officers to return fire. The driver escaped.
Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum confirmed that the suspect is an Abu Sayyaf militant based on intelligence information. Tagum showed a picture of him to prove that he was a member of the terrorist group.
